Body Composition – A whole body assessment that gives you the blueprint for improving your health. Body composition analysis is essential to completely understand health and weight as traditional methods of assessing health, such as BMI, can be misleading. Going beyond your weight, body composition analysis breaks down your body into four components: fat, lean body mass, minerals, and body water.

Body composition analyzers break down your weight and display your body composition data on an organized, easy-to-understand Result Sheet. The results help you understand where your fat, muscle, and body levels are at and act as a guide to help you achieve your goals: whether that is shedding a few unwanted pounds or a complete body transformation.

  • Metabolism, quite simply, is a measure of how much food, or fat, is converted to energy in a day. Resting metabolic rate (RMR) is the measurement of how much food, or energy, is required to maintain basic body functions such as heartbeat, breathing, and maintenance of body heat while you are in a state of rest. That energy is expressed in calories per day. An RMR test shows how many calories you burn at rest, doing nothing more than a 10-minute breath test through a simple mouthpiece sitting in a chair.  The air is collected and analyzed measuring oxygen consumption.

An RMR can screen for abnormally low metabolic rates and pinpoint the precise caloric intake required for weight loss, maintenance, or weight gain.  The RMR measurement is scientific information about you that allows realistic goals that cannot be conjured up from any other source. Once you understand how much energy your body needs, you will know how much food you need to add or remove to your diet in order to achieve your goals.  With this information, you’ll see quicker results and reach your goals faster.
